  • Are seats assigned or unreserved?
    All seats aboard the Sky Hop Bus are unreserved. Please sit in any available seat. Note that, as the seats begin to fill, you may be required to sit away from any fellow travelers.
  • Is the open-air bus hot or cold, depending on the weather?
    There are two varieties of Sky Hop Bus, an open-air type and a closed type. (Note that selection of the type is not possible.) For the open-air type, passengers should dress accordingly for the season, with warm clothes in winter and cool clothes in summer.
  • What happens in the event of rain?
    On rainy days, raincoats will be distributed to passengers free of charge. Please put on the raincoat before boarding the bus. Passengers on the open-air type will be directed to the upper deck even on rainy days, and the first deck will not be usable. Please also note that umbrellas are not permitted.
  • What happens in the event of extremely bad weather?
    Services may be abruptly cancelled or discontinued in the event of heavy rain, thunderstorms, vehicle trouble, or other reasons, at our discretion. For more information on the current day’s service availability, contact the Sky Bus Call Center (03-3215-0008, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm).
  • Are tours provided in any languages?
    The Sky Hop Bus is equipped with GPS-based voice guidance in English, Chinese, and Korean.
  • Is eating or drinking allowed on the bus?
    Plastic bottles, water bottles, and other drinks with a lid are allowed. However, all other food and drink—including alcoholic drinks—are not allowed on the bus.
  • Are luggage collection services available?
    Large luggage and strollers are collected before boarding the bus. Luggage collection services are only available while riding the bus. We do not provide collection services beforehand.
  • Is a separate fare required for children?
    Preschool children riding on laps are allowed on the bus at no charge. Children requiring their own seat will be charged the child fare. (The child fare applies to elementary school students.)
  • Is a toilet available on the bus?
    There is no toilet on the bus. Please make sure to use the toilet before riding, as the bus will not stop for toilet breaks.
  • Is there a discounted fee for passengers with a disability?
    10% discount is available to passengers with a disability. Please make sure to notify the ticket counter when purchasing a ticket. (Presentation of a disability certificate is required at the ticket counter.)
  • What is the difference between the Sky Bus and the Sky Hop Bus?
    The Sky Bus and the Sky Hop Bus have different routes. The Sky Hop Bus stops at specified bus stops where passengers can get on or off as desired. The course includes various popular sightseeing spots throughout Tokyo. Advance reservation is not possible with the Sky Hop Bus.
  • How long is a Sky Hop Bus ticket valid?
    Sky Hop Bus tickets can be used up to 24 hours after purchase. For example, a ticket purchased at 3:30 pm on April 1 will be valid until 3:30 pm on April 2.
  • Is there a chance that the Sky Hop Bus will be full?
    During busy hours, the Sky Hop Bus may become fully occupied. In such cases, passengers will be asked to wait for the next bus.
  • Is it possible to get off the bus at a location without a bus stop?
    Passengers can only get off the bus at the bus stops indicated in the pamphlet.
  • Is a waiting room available before riding the bus?
    Unfortunately, there is no dedicated waiting room available for passengers before riding the bus. However, Sky Bus staff will be happy to recommend nearby cafes to any passengers with spare time before the bus arrives. The staff can also recommend establishments where smoking is allowed for those interested.
