Moving Towards Sustainable Urban Transportation with Biofuel "SUSTEO"
From October 1, 2024, Sky Hop Bus Tokyo will introduce the next-generation biodiesel fuel "Susteo," strengthening its commitment to reducing carbon emissions and contributing to the creation of a sustainable urban environment in Tokyo.
Susteo is a blend of diesel and 20% HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), and it is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% compared to conventional diesel usage. This represents a significant step toward promoting sustainable urban transportation.
SUSTEO is made from sustainable biological resources (biomass) that do not compete with food production or cause deforestation, making it an environmentally responsible fuel. Additionally, because its molecular structure is identical to that of petroleum-based diesel, it can be used directly in existing diesel-powered bus vehicles without any modifications.
